The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) is warning airline passengers they may have been exposed to COVID-19 on multiple recent Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»flights.

On Thursday, Sept. 24, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» shared several new Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»flights that were added to the list of potential COVID-19 public exposures.

Since then, three more flights arriving into Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport (YVR) from both domestic and international points of origin have been added to the list.

The following flights have been added to the BCCDC's list of affected flights:

  • Sept. 17: Air Transat Flight 932 Toronto to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»(Rows 4-9)
  • Sept. 17: West Jet Flight 725 Toronto to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»(Rows 22-28)
  • Sept. 18: Air Canada Flight 45 Delhi to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»(Rows 12-14 and 31-33)

Anyone who was on the listed flights is asked to self-monitor for symptoms and seek testing if warranted. Those seated in the rows closest to the affected case - provided row information has been given to officials by the airline - are considered at a higher risk than passengers elsewhere on the plane.

Passengers on affected flights are not informed directly of potential COVID-19 exposure and are instead asked to monitor public notifications regarding flights.

Additionally, passengers travelling from outside of Canada, meanwhile, must arrive prepared with a 14-day self-isolation plan.
