Excerpts of emergent local poetry will soon be plastered all over Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»buses, SkyTrains, and other modes of TransLink and BC Transit in and around the city.

Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»commuters have been treated to the works of BC-authored and Canadian-published poets since 1996 when the first collection of poetry car cards were launched.

This year’s selections, made by the Association of Book Publishers of BC, include 10 literary works by poets in the province – the majority, who live in Vancouver.

The works include:

Dominique Bernier-Cormier, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»– Correspondent

Susan Buis, Knutsford – Gatecrasher

Francine Cunningham, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»– On/Me

Ruth Daniell, Kelowna – The Brightest Thing

Adrienne Drobnies, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»– Salt and Ashes

Cornelia Hoogland, Hornby Island – Cosmic Bowling

Kyla Jamieson, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»– Body Count

Fiona Tinwei Lam, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»– Odes & Laments

John Pass, Madeira Park – This Was the River

Russel Thornton, North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»– The Broken Face
