The Canucks hold the seventh overall pick in the first round and have a myriad of possibilities. They could take one of the defencemen expected to go in the top-ten, like Noah Dobson, Quinn Hughes, Adam Boqvist, or Evan Bouchard. They could grab a talented forward like Oliver Wahlstrom. Perhaps Filip Zadina or Brady Tkachuk will slide down to them. Who knows?
They could even trade the pick, either to pick up additional picks a little lower in the draft or for a young NHL player ready to make an impact sooner rather than later. It feels like anything could happen.
And when it does happen, you can discuss it here. The comments are open down below and you can sort them by 鈥淣ewest鈥 to follow along with the conversation. I鈥檒l be in there discussing picks as they happen.
In fact, things are already happening, even if it's not the Canucks just yet. The Washington Capitals have acquired the 47th overall pick for Brooks Orpik and Philipp Grubauer.
