Any day I can bust out the ever-rare PITB feature 鈥淲eird Crafts鈥� is a good day. The feature has focussed on the weird and wonderful ways Canucks fans have celebrated their fandom with arts and crafts supplies.
Some of those crafts have definitely been weirder than others. PITB has featured , legally-ambiguous , and a . This time around, the craft is a little more cool than weird. Literally cool: it鈥檚 a cooler.
Brock Boeser has been spending some time at the lake this summer, at least when he isn鈥檛 . His Instagram and Instagram Story has been full of .
Of course, a day at the lake isn鈥檛 complete without cold drinks. And for that you need a cooler. But why have just an ordinary cooler when you can have a cooler inside a handcrafted wooden Canucks enclosure?
That was apparently the thought process for Brock Boeser鈥檚 uncle, who did a little woodworking to customize a cooler with his nephew鈥檚 name and number.

Boeser shared a video of the cooler to his Instagram Story, demonstrating one of its main features 鈥� it opens and closes, which is a very important feature for this type of thing 鈥� but you can see a couple other features as well.
First, there鈥檚 the handle, which appears to have been made out of a hockey puck. Then there鈥檚 the built-in bottle opener emblazoned with a Canucks logo. On the side, there鈥檚 a drain built in to the enclosure, with a faucet painted in Canucks blue and green.
Altogether, it鈥檚 a nice little design. It looks like he took inspiration, if not direct instruction, from this DIY YouTube video.
The star of the show, however, is the woodburned Canucks logo and Boeser鈥檚 name and number on the lid. It all looks authentic, with the right font and number style. It looks like he used an actual Canucks jersey to create the stencil.
With the DIY video above and some stencil work of your own, you could create your own patio cooler enclosure to keep your drinks cold.
