Unsung heroes had their moment in the spotlight on Saturday at the first night of the 2017 Leo Awards.
Veteran actor hosted the first ceremony of this year’s Leos – which celebrate excellence in British Columbia’s booming film and television industry – in a ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
A total of 113 awards are handed out over three nights, and the first ceremony – Celebration Awards Ceremony One, affectionately known as the Tech Awards – fêted artists who work behind the scenes on all manner of film and television projects, including visual effects artists, hair and make-up artists, cinematographers, production and costume designers, and editors.
