What If
What if one year from now
We run into each other in the airport.
My heart races
Our memories flood with those times
We sat on airport floors together听
Laughing and planning our adventures.
What if five years from now
I meet you at the supermarket听
My palms sweaty when our eyes meet
My heart drops into my stomach and听
I remember that letter I wrote to you
Saying I thought you were the one.
But the one
Doesn鈥檛 let you walk away.听
What if ten years from now听
I see you in a cafe
Your hair is dusted with silver,
Our faces weathered by the demands of life.听
You tell me you still dream of me sometimes听
Wondering what our life would have been,听
If we never parted ways.听
What would've听happened,
If you had never let me walk away?
What if ten years from now听
You realize that letting me go,
Was the biggest mistake听
You鈥檇 ever make.听
