Commuters may have experienced delays on the SkyTrain today due to stalled trains on the Expo Line.
TransLink tweeted about the first delay on Tuesday, early in the morning. It stated that the Expo Line was experiencing delays due to a stalled train at the Commercial-Broadway station.
The transit authority noted that the stalled train had been removed a short while later.ÌýHowever,Ìýit added that travelers should expect longer waits while it resumed regularÌýfull service.
A few hours later, TransLink announced that a second train was stalled in the area of Main Street-Science World station. About a half-hour after that, the transit authority stated that the stalled train was removed and it was resuming full service.Ìý

"The delays on the SkyTrain today were not related to each other and were not due to weather conditions," Daniel Mountain, a media relations spokesperson from TransLink, told Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³».
"From time to time a train can stall if it is unable to communicate with SkyTrain Control. This is a safety feature of an automated system."
Mountain added that theÌýSkyTrain is a reliable system with an on-time performance of 96.1 per cent for 2019.Ìý
