鶹ýӳpolice are calling on the public to help identify the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run last Friday that left a 51-year-old man with serious injuries.

Police believe a vehicle struck the man near Kaslo and Franklin streets and drove off without stopping just after 7 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Police say officers found the man in the middle of the road, screaming in pain. He was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

“Despite a lengthy and ongoing investigation, investigators have yet to identify the driver and vehicle involved,” says Const. Tania Visintin. “VPD are now appealing to the driver, and anybody with information to come forward.”

The man is still in hospital.

Police are looking for dashcam video from anyone who may have been traveling on Kaslo or Renfrew between McGill and Hastings, or on Hastings between Kaslo and Renfrew, between 7 and 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or passed through the area and has dashcam video, is asked to contact the VPD collision investigation unit at 604-717-9360.
