Re: "False Creek resident smarting over lost parking," Oct. 24
I live in an area on the East Side also affected by these cars. Living right next to a SkyTrain station comes with its conveniences but also with many inconveniences-one being limited parking. I have come to learn the parking directly in front of my house, which is designated residents parking only, can now be taken by any of these Car2Go cars. I routinely come home to find these cars parked in front of my house, one of which was parked there for more than three days. As a result, I have to park on the next block taking one of my neighbours parking, which I can get ticketed for.
I am beyond frustrated. My husband has had two back surgeries and cannot even park in front of his own house on many occasions. The City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»must come up with a solution to this problem. My many calls to the city and the Car2Go program have all fallen on deaf ears. The sad thing is that there is a vacant city-owned lot directly across the street that could be leased to the Car2Go program for parking.
