Re: "Letters of the Week," Dec. 7.
Your provocatively titled "The Next Yaletown" article correctly reports that Marpole will undergo profound changes. The challenge for those of us who live and/or work in Marpole is that change is difficult, especially when your neighbourhood has been much the same for decades. Marpole will indeed begin the city process for a new community plan next year-a plan that is intended to balance city-wide and local priorities, manage development pressures and demand for local amenities and improve public engagement. If this plan is to make a better future for Marpole, the people who live and work here must speak up and demand it of the city.
