Re: "Wheel deal," 12th & Cambie, Sept. 26.
So, our pro-business mayor helped to celebrate the ground-breaking ceremony for a high-end car dealership... in downtown Vancouver. Well, why not? The auto industry, overall, has a huge impact on the country's economy (and yes, Vancouver's as well).
I think that one in 10 are employed at some job related to that industry. And what do the saints on bikes contribute? They certainly gain from the tax revenues generated by the aforementioned... and by the roads and bridges in place for vehicles. Maybe certain roads should be closed to cyclists-unless they pay a toll.
