To the editor:
It is interesting that park board commissioner Sarah Blyth doesn't think that youth have many options for recreation in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»and particularly in Mount Pleasant. They had a wonderful recreational facility in Mount Pleasant called the Mount Pleasant Outdoor Swimming Pool-until the park board removed it. That pool was utilized by every age group, but especially by youth. To add insult to injury, Mount Pleasant residents stated very clearly during public consultations that they wanted to keep the pool, and did not want a skate board park. So the park board took away the pool and replaced it with a skate board park. Why bother having public consultations if you ignore the results? Give us back our pool.
