I have just read with bemusement the poodle on a pole article. My husband and I (we live on Main Street, my husband since he was a kid) commented on it the other day. "What in the heck...?" and "Where on earth...?" was kind of how our conversation went.

It's ridiculous that there is a gigantic poodle on Main Street. Even more ridiculous are the pink poodle cozies and cards on buses. This has nothing to do with the culture on Main Street and is insulting at a time when bus fares have just increased. Translink should spend its limited funds on the buses - like cleaning them more often or repairing the coin accepter/ticket dispensers that drivers frequently have to cover with their vests because they don't work. Lastly, the idea that an artist who doesn't even live here was paid for this is shameful.
