Re: "Poodle art best suited to Yaletown," Letters, Jan. 18.
What is going on? Are we, in the magical kingdom of Main Street, so mesmerized by our $9 lattes and obsessed by our desires to purchase the next neo-vintage accessory that we cannot see the naked truth?
Frankly, I am surprised and disappointed by our lack of rebelliousness. I thought the whole point was: the artist provided a blank canvas for this celebrated unique community to reclaim. I have a good idea what would have happened to that poor poodle if the situation was reversed. So, stand up you bohemian, riotous, creative people and do something. Go throw a knitted poncho on the dog or give it some black spots for Pete's sakes.
