Trees great, but what about the damage they do?

It's admirable that Terri Clark wants to preserve trees in the City of Vancouver. Rights of lot owners and developers to build housing for people sometimes fail to save trees. It is also a financial headache for homeowners who have to contend with cracked sidewalks and clogged drains from tree roots and gutters clogged with leaves.

The city will not pay for any damage to property due to tree roots and leaves. Will Terri Clark and her fellow tree saviours pay for the repairs to the damages done by the tree roots and leaves all over the city?
