From a music and dance gathering to a group mental health walk, there's something for everyone in Richmond this weekend.
1. Music and dance
The Open Jam and Dance in the Park is taking place on several Saturdays this summer.
Bring your instruments to join in on the event, get your groove on or even come to grab a snack.
Date: Saturday, June 28, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Location: Grass field behind Richmond Cultural Centre Annex, 7660 Minoru Gate
2. Art exhibit
Artists Howie Tsui and Alvin Jang along with curators Rebecca Wang and Zoe Chan will have an informal tour of Richmond Art Gallery's latest exhibition.
Date: Saturday, June 28, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Location: Richmond Art Gallery, 7700 Minoru Gate
3. Group sketching
Urban Sketchers Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»is hosting a group sketching event where everyone brings their own pens, pencils and sketchbooks to draw to their heart's content.
There will be a sketch throwdown at 3:30 p.m.
Meet-up point is the Steveston Tram
Date: Sunday, June 29, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Location: Steveston Tram building, 4011 Moncton St.
4. Samoyed meet-up
Families with Samoyed fur babies are meeting together at the South Arm off-leash dog area for an annual meet-up and group photo.
The group photo will take place at 11:30 a.m.
The event, hosted by Dogs Will Teach You Love and Jenn Lin, will have a photographer on site to take professional photos for $50 plus tax for specific photo requests.
Date: Sunday, June 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: South Arm off-leash area, 9206 South Arm Pl.
