Spot prawn season is back in Richmond.
Fisherman's Wharf in Steveston officially begins spot prawn sales on May 14, according to Tourism Richmond's .
Several vendors like and have begun pre-sales with official pick-ups starting May 16, and many dates this month have already sold out.
Aside from spot prawns being sold from the wharf, there will be live performances from local musicians on weekends from May 17 to June 15.
The annual Dine About restaurant event is also returning from May 31 to June 15, where local Richmond restaurants feature seafood dishes with ingredients sourced from Steveston fishers.
This year's Spot Prawn Day will take place in Steveston on June 7 with events ranging from live cooking demonstrations and performances to circus artists and traditional Japanese "Gyotaku" fish printing outside the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
