The Davie Village Pride Festival returns after six years as a "cornerstone event" in the 47th Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Festival in August 2025.

The Davie Village Pride Festival returns this summer following a six-year hiatus on the same day as the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Parade.

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Parade has a new "reversed" route this year on Sunday, Aug.3. The parade will now kick off at Concord Pacific Place, travel along Pacific Avenue and culminate at the intersection of Pacific and Burrard — leading directly into the reimagined Davie Village Pride Festival.

The Davie Village Pride Festival returns after six years as a "cornerstone event" in the 47th Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Festival. Before it was shut down during the pandemic, the festival used to occur a couple of days before Pride. Now, it will serve as the finale celebration.

The West End BIA, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Society, and QMUNITY have collaborated to transform Davie Street, from Burrard to Jervis, into a "high-energy, inclusive celebration featuring live music, drag performances, DJs, and roaming entertainers."

Festival-goers can also enjoy licensed lounges, extended patios, and local businesses that will spill onto the street.

The Davie Village Pride Festival includes all-ages park programming

The Davie Village Pride Festival will also stretch into Nelson Park, offering an all-ages event and ASL interpretation from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors can enjoy button pressing, colouring, and ribbon making, as well as queer artisans and community resources. Live queer bands will also perform on the Concord Pacific Community Stage in the park, creating a space that uplifts community voices and talents.

Programming at Nelson Park also honours history, as it was the starting point of the first Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Parade in 1981, "celebrating the legacy and resilience of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community."

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Festival will take place the entire weekend of Aug. 1-3 in Vancouver, with the Pride Parade and Davie Village Pride Festival anchoring the celebrations.

The 2025 festival also commemorates the 20th anniversary of marriage equality in Canada, a milestone inspiring the "ongoing fight for inclusion, equity, and celebration within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities."

Organizers tell V.I.A. that event programming, artist lineup, and accessibility features will be announced in the coming weeks.
