Vancouver's Homer Street Café announced Thursday they are closed temporarily following an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

The Yaletown-area restaurant shared the news via Instagram, indicating that the employee is "doing well and recovering in self-isolation at home."

The restaurant adds that they "actively following guidelines from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health, & WorkSafe BC," and they are "committed to taking every possible precaution" to protect their guests, staff, and the community.

To that end, Homer Street Café says the restaurant has closed temporarily and voluntarily in order to conduct a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the premises.
