Glowbal is serving up a Canada Day feast with its Great Canadian Patio Party, featuring an all-you-can-eat BBQ packed with classics like beef burgers, Montreal smoked meat, and a build-your-own poutine station. The beloved Steveston Salmon Festival returns July 1 for its 78th year, bringing one of Canada’s largest community-driven Canada Day celebrations to the heart of Steveston Village. This June, Mon Paris Pâtisserie Chef/Owner Elena Krasnova invites guests on a delectable journey through France’s most iconic pastries with a weekends-only Summer Series at both her Burnaby and newly opened Vancouver locations. Running every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the series spotlights one classic French pastry each weekend—available exclusively and in limited quantities.

Food Truck Fridays roll into Maple Ridge this summer, thanks to a new partnership between the Greater 鶹ýӳFood Truck Festival and the City of Maple Ridge. The seried kicked off on May 30 and runs every Friday through August 29 at the Albion Community Centre, the weekly event brings a rotating lineup of top local food trucks serving up everything from tacos and burgers to Malaysian street food and Hawaiian hot dogs. Provence Marinaside brings back its popular Lobster Festival, offering a three-course prix fixe menu featuring fresh Atlantic lobster prepared in a variety of styles. Richmond hosts one of the largest outdoor markets in North America and has up to 150 retail stalls and 130 food vendors, as well as entertainment and carnival games. This year it is adding a 600-foot zipline ride by to celebrate its 25th anniversary (available starting May 19).
Also, to celebrate 25 years, the market will also offer happy hour specials and admission discounts. Every night, drinks will be under $7 and food under $10 at every food stall, while admission will be $5 after 10 p.m. General admission is $7 for anyone older than 7 but under 60; kids up to 7 and those 60+ get in for free.
