Emily Huang from our department brought something interesting over to my desk this afternoon. And by interesting I mean OMG THIS IS AMAZING OMG.

She was at a local grocery store (which shall not be named but rhymes with Dole Dudes) and managed to charm the stock person into bringing her this single litre of Avalon from the back.
It's common knowledge amongst nog lovers in BC that Avalon makes the best stuff. Typically they don't release it until November, and I write this from a place of authority as I was crowned the title of back in 2014 and I've been writing about Vancouver's nog for almost a decade. I called Avalon to inquire about when nog will be available and they played coy, mentioning something of a "test run", which I can only assume means it will be available at "Dole Dudes" this weekend. If you're there, look for it or ask a stock person. And don't tell them I sent you.
