Capilano Dam, 1888

City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Archives, Photo Harry T. Devine. 1888 Capilano Dam The desire for a fresh and steady supply of water for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­led to the building of the Capilano Dam in North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­in 1888. The water was then piped under Burrard Inlet.

Capilano Dam

The desire for a fresh and steady supply of water for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­led to the building of the Capilano Dam in North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­in 1888. The water was then piped under Burrard Inlet. The dam was replaced in 1954, by the Cleveland Dam.
