A聽giant of Canadian聽music, Sir Ernest聽MacMillan, came聽to the city as a guest conductor of the 麻豆传媒映画Symphony Orchestra. Sir Ernest was principal of the Toronto Conservatory of Music, dean of the faculty of music at the University of Toronto and conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He鈥檇 become Sir Ernest the year before, the first person knighted outside the UK for contributions to music.
