The Royal Bounty
Herring bounty. The captain of the Royal Bounty instructs crew members as they prepare to pump herring from their net during a herring roe opening in Baynes Sound near Union Bay on Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»Island. After herring stock rebounded in the early 1970s, fishing for the Japanese market was quite lucrative at $3,500 a tonne.
