A Coquitlam author gave his royalties to BC Children's Hospital. He's doing it again

For the second time, Trevor Atkins is donating the proceeds of his book to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­hospital for sick kids.

A Coquitlam author who donated the proceeds from his début novel to BC Children’s Hospital is now out with his second book.

And, all royalties from Back to the New Adventure will be donated to the

Trevor Atkins is following The Day the Pirates Went Mad with Back to the New Adventure, as part of the same series for middle schoolers.

Set in 1704, the historical fictional tale continues with orphan , who is now 13, surviving after being marooned.

She duels a pirate captain, breaks into a French jail and chases down the ship that’s taking a crewmate back to France to be executed.

Atkins said he was inspired by survival stories like Robinson Crusoe, and his own family’s summer camping trips, to write the literary yarns.
