The British Columbia Centre of Disease Control’s (BCCDC) keeps track of the province’s vaccination rates broken down by age and location. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» took a look at the vaccination rates among those currently eligible for the vaccine, those aged 12 and up.
The BCCDC breaks down greater Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»in the following areas:

The percentage of vaccinated population 12+ shows Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Northeast with the highest percentages for both doses at 97 and 93 per cent for the first and second shots. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- City Centre also has a first dose vaccination rate of 97 but a second dose rate of 92 per cent.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Midtown ties with Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Northeast for highest percentage of second doses received at 93. Taking second palace is Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- City Centre at 92 per cent of ages 12+ having received their second dose.
For both doses Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Centre North is the farthest behind. The region includes the Downtown Eastside, Northeast False Creek and Grandview-Woodland. As of Nov. 2, 90 per cent of these residents had received their first dose compared to the 84 per cent who have received their second.
In terms of trajectory, it appears over the last week (Oct. 26 - Nov. 2) vaccination rates for the first dose have plateaued with Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Northeast, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Midtown, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Westside and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»- Centre North maintaining their previous week’s rate.
