Metro Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­weather: Sunny days, highs up to 30 C expected

The Metro Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­weather forecast includes temperatures climbing steadily through the week, culminating with temperatures about 10 C above the seasonal average. 

Locals may also have the chance to view the northern lights on several days this week, with a mix of sun and cloud or clear, cloudless conditions expected, providing ideal conditions for aurora viewing. 

Starting on Tuesday, June 3, V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows a daytime high of 23 C and an overnight low of 12 C, with mostly clear conditions. 

Temperatures are anticipated to dip several degrees on Wednesday, falling to a high of 18 C. However, temperatures are expected to start climbing Thursday, with a high of 21 C in the downtown core.

After temperatures plateau on Friday, Saturday's forecast includes above-average heat. The downtown area is expected to see a high of 24 C, while Sunday shows a high of 26 C. 

Tsawwassen is expected to see the same daytime highs as downtown Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­over the weekend. 

Other parts of Metro Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­may see even warmer weather. For example, the Burnaby West neighbourhood may see temperatures climb as high as 28 C and 30 C on the weekend. Surrey City Centre is expected be warmer than Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­but cooler than Burnaby, with highs of 25 C and 28 C. 

In the Fraser Valley, Abbotsford has daytime highs of 26 C and 30 C on the weekend.

The seasonal average for a daytime high is 18 C at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­International Airport (YVR), according to Environment Canada's historical climate data.
