A new dessert shop focused on healthy dessert soups has quietly opened in Richmond.
Myth Dessert & Patisserie, which took over a former hardware store in Ackroyd Plaza, soft opened on Monday, May 12.
The menu features preset options like mango sago cream with grapefruit, black sticky rice with coconut milk, and pistachio paste with mochi.
Customers can also build their own dessert bowls from 27 different toppings and a variety of bases, including coconut milk, oat milk, regular milk or shaved ice.
Many of the toppings, such as black sesame, taro and sago, are familiar, while others, like lotus seed, peach gum,and lily bulb, are also known for their nutritional benefits and collagen content.
A dessert fridge also offers chocolate mousse, strawberry vanilla buttercream napoleon cakes by Yudi Patisserie, and steamed egg milk pudding.
An employee told the Richmond News the shop is affiliated with and Myth Grill & Yakitori Bistro, both also located in the plaza.
Myth Dessert & Patisserie is open daily from 5 to 10 p.m., with longer opening hours anticipated for next week, at Unit 155 - 8100 Ackroyd Rd.
