Lufthansa's new Airbus A350-900 made its first flight to Canada from Munich, Germany today. The plane landed at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport at approximately 4:16 p.m. about 20 minutes ahead of schedule.
YVR Airport is hosting a plane spotters picnic at Larry Berg Flight Path Park until 8 p.m. to celebrate the arrival of Luftansa's A350 and the return of the larger British Airways Airbus A380, which is scheduled to land at 6:55 p.m.

In a release, Lufthansa says the A350-900 is the world's most advanced, environmentally-friendly long-haul aircraft producing 25 per cent fewer emissions than comparable models of aircraft.
The A350 will be operated on the daily flights from Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»to Munich for the summer season running until October 27.
