Some cheap flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»available right now cost less than a nice dinner in the city.
Travellers can find several options for flights departing through the spring and into the fall for ultra-low prices this year, via both WestJet and Flair Airlines.
But cheaper ticket prices come with some potential downfalls. The lowest fare class will have the most restrictive rules, meaning changes to the ticket aren't permitted after purchase, and don't include carry-on luggage or seat selection.
Have a look at a few of the cheapest flights departing from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport (YVR).
Kelowna
Locals who aren't keen on a several-hour-long drive to the B.C. interior can enjoy reduced travel time for a steal via Flair Airlines' ultra-cheap service to Kelowna International Airport (YLW).
One-way flights departing from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»this fall cost under $40 direct to Kelowna (see slide two). For instance, a flight leaving on Friday, Nov. 14, costs $26.45 including all taxes (see slide three).
Customers flying with Flair should ensure they select the right "bundle" to pair with their flight as they make the purchase. Adding extras later can be a hassle, particularly at the airport when the airline charges more for seats or additional bags. The Bare Bundle only comes with a personal item and does not allow for flight changes or cancellations.

Victoria
Flights from YVR to Victoria International Airport (YYJ) are another ultra-cheap option, with flights starting under $40 this spring (see slide four).
For instance, a flight departing on Wednesday, June 11, for Victoria costs $37 through third-party supplier ly.com or $43 through trip.com (see slide five). One way tickets booked directly through WestJet cost $63.
Edmonton
Despite being outside the province, some flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Alberta cost less than those across B.C. For instance, flights from YVR to Edmonton International Airport (YEG) cost under $50 this spring (see side six).
For instance, a flight from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Edmonton departing on Wednesday, June 11, costs $47 through booking.com. However, trips cost $39.60 when booked directly through Flair Airlines (see slide seven).
Flight prices may change quickly based on seat availability. If you want to secure a price, book the ticket right away (some airlines and travel suppliers allow you to hold seats, although you will need to confirm). Prices shown in this travel deal were available at the time of writing and may not be available when you look for them.
