Will it waffle? Sure, you can test that hypothesis out with all sorts of food, but today we want to give some props to some creative uses of waffles.
In these wild waffle dishes, the waffles aren't just the big square or circle on the plate that gets topped with some basics like butter and syrup. Oh, no. These are next-level waffle applications where the waffle is the canvas or vessel for some fun fooding. For now, we're leaving the Liege and casting aside the plain ol' Chicken & Waffles.
Here are 10 wild and wonderful waffle dishes to try in Vancouver.

Waffle Cones AND Waffle Poutine at
Now here's a two-fer for you. First, let's make it clear that not all waffle cones are for ice cream. Case in point, Beljam's Waffle truck, on the festival circuit for a couple of years, and spotted recently in an episode of Riverdale, Beljam has a loyal following for their "Waffle Cone" creations. Their waffles serve as a vessel for things like scrambled eggs and bacon, pulled pork, or fried chicken. And, secondly, they make a Waffle Poutine, starring waffle strips topped with cheese curds and gravy.
