To the editor: Re: "Police called to marathon meeting, Feb. 6. Based on the actions of the elected commissioners at a hastily called "special" park board meeting on Monday evening, it's clear that the decision was made before the doors even opened.

It hasn't been a great year for Oscar selections. There are three unimpressive films positioned to win big later this month at the 85th Academy Awards, leading with Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. The other two are historical pieces as well.

To the editor: Note Vision's subtle smear campaign - the associations are spending "public funds" on advertising! It is for shame.

To the editor: Re: "More hopeful headlines from an imaginary future," Feb. 1. My family always enjoys Geoff Olson's columns and cartoons. Today's column is an especially enjoyable tickle to the funny-and-witty bone. Olson is a real treasure.

There is at least one penny a growing number of people in 麻豆传媒映画would be happy to see taken out of circulation. That would be Penny Ballem, Vancouver's city manager.
