Sweet Treat #25: Blueberry Ricotta Toast at Branch and Butter
This place is a true gem! Part of the , which includes everything from small restaurants to boutiques, Branch and Butter serves up a simple menu of ice cream and toast from Bowen Island's waterfront, right beside the ferry dock. The blueberry ricotta toast is so fresh tasting that you'll feel like the berries came straight off a bush. Speaking of which, pretty sure we saw someone pluck a handful of mint directly from a shrub just outside the building to garnish our plate. Love it! Featuring sourdough from Vancouver's Birds & the Beets, local blueberries, creamy ricotta, basil jam and fresh mint, this dish perfectly embodies the refreshing qualities of a weekend island getaway.
