To the editor: Re: "Joint venture," 12th & Cambie, Sept. 28. The vote by B.C. municipal leaders to decriminalize marijuana is a step in the right direction. There is a big difference between condoning marijuana use and protecting children from drugs.

Re: "Housing task force prescribes 'fundamental changes," Sept. 28. Affordable housing has been a civic issue as long as I've lived in Vancouver.

While Im grateful for many things in my life (healthy, happy family, seemingly stable job), this Thanksgiving Im particularly grateful for water. Why? Because we havent seen much of it fall from the sky lately.

To the editor: Re: "Letter of the week," Sept. 28. I guess Mike Tropp doesn't know any cyclists. In fact, we pay taxes, too. I am a cyclist and homeowner who pays hefty property taxes.

To the editor: Re: "Food Money," Central Park, Sept. 28. So Vision 麻豆传媒映画park board commissioner Constance Barnes wants to raise awareness about the perceived low welfare rates and wants the park board to help.

We've heard a lot recently about a 麻豆传媒映画Foundation study on social isolation released this summer.

To the editor: Re: "Park board's Jasper 'misleading' the public," Letters, Sept. 26. I was disappointed by Ian Robertson's letter.

To the editor: Re: "Letter of the Week," Sept. 21. Paul Richards is right. As a lifelong resident (since the 1950s) of Vancouver, I also have observed the city incrementally conform to the point of oppression.

More peacemakers, healers needed

Re: "Reduction plant provides an invaluable service," Letters, Sept. 19. Obviously, West Coast Reduction provides an important and valued environmental service.
