Medal winners deserve the glory, not Canada

To the editor: Why do the countries seize the glory when an individual athlete wins a medal? Let us celebrate the accomplishments of the individual and refer to Canadians winning medals not Canada.

Games leave conflicting feelings of joy and regret

The London 2012 Olympics are over and I'm in the throes of withdrawal. The Games were my constant companion in the newsroom for two weeks and while I thrilled at the athletic achievements, I also delighted at the eye candy on the screen.

Letter of the week

Re: "Hold the bananaphone," Central Park, Aug. 8. The media would do well to tell this story with a bit less melodrama and a lot more truth.
